Iv just did my first ever fell race and what a race to start. The shining cliff woods fell race was held on a course which i can only describe as wet boggy and very dangerous to your body .

After a very quick downhill start over razor sharp stones and bolders the race desended into a free for all get out of my way or get trampled on at one stage we ran up a stream which was something very very different oh and wet too.Most of the hills were covered in mud so running quick was not a choice

The course was held over 2 laps of the woods i finished in a very creditable 20Th place out of 108 in a time of 41.36 the winners time was 37.01 so only been 4 Min's behind the winner was quite a pleasant surprise  so far this season iv raced 3 times and iv been placed very well so all signs for the rest of the season  are looking  good
